Virtualisation on Dell PowerEdge servers just got a performance boost., Featuring Intel™ Xeon™ 5500 series processors embedded hypervisors and expanded memory and I/O, Dell™s servers offer better overall system performance regarding virtualisation and more virtual machines per server capacity than ever before. Dell™ provides a smart path to virtualisation, a path that is grounded in choice and defined by industry standards. Customers can choose their hypervisor from market leaders such as VMware™, Citrix™ and Microsoft™, enabling virtualisation with a few clicks of a mouse.

Cutting Edge Technology

The New PowerEdge Servers are designed with 125% more memory capacity and more integrated I/O than the previous generation PowerEdges. This increased capacity is crucial for virtualisation performance and scalability. They allows for quick virtualisation deployment with embedded hypervisors from leading vendors via an SD card or internal USB. The Leading Low Voltage Xeon™ CPUs are coupled with the new DDR3 memory which offers higher bandwidth and lower power consumption than previous FBD or DDR2 technologies. Increased memory slots allows you to use smaller, less expensive DIMMs to meet computing needs and balance cost.
